The Performing Arts Society
In 2010, the University of St. Thomas established a Performing Arts Society. The vision of the Performing Arts Society is to provide all students at the University of St. Thomas access to quality performing arts opportunities during their undergraduate and graduate studies. The Performing Arts Society supports and enriches the performing arts at the university while encouraging excellence at both the university and throughout the greater Houston community.
The Performing Arts Society is co-chaired by Priscilla Plumb, member of the President’s Advisory Board and Jack Doherty, past membership chair of Performing Arts Society. Through the Advisory Council, the group will strive to increase awareness of the performing arts at UST, work to increase scholarship money for students, create a formal connection to local theatres and performing arts organizations in order to help students obtain internships and lastly raise funds to build a Performing Arts and Conference Center.
By becoming a member of the university’s Performing Arts Society, your support will help sustain the high quality of the University’s performing arts programs. Membership to the Performing Arts Society will also benefit the development efforts in support of the Performing Arts and Center at the University of St. Thomas
