|Support the William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies|
Each year, the William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies raises funds through the Annual Friends of the Center Campaign, the Cultural Outreach Forum and a series of events such as the Irish Gala.
Annual Friends of the Center Campaign
Each spring, the Center launches a new “Friends of the Center” campaign to raise operating funds for the Center. The Center runs almost exclusively on donations. Become a Friend of the Center or renew your membership for this year. We welcome donations at any level.
Cultural Outreach Forum
Each year, the Center hosts nine to 12 cultural outreach programs during the academic year. We bring in speakers and cultural performers from all across Texas and the United States, Ireland and Northern Ireland. The Center runs this cultural program entirely on donations. We invite members to join and/or renew their memberships at the following levels:
- Supporter ($50 to $499)
- Representative ($500 to $999)
- Dignitary ($1,000 to $1,499)
- Legate ($1,500 to $1,999)
- Consul ($2,000 to $2,499)
- Ambassador ($2,500 to $4,999)
- Premier ($5,000 and above)
Join us and make a world of difference in cultural programming for the community. Learn more.
The Irish Gala raises funds for the Center's academic programs and scholarships for students to enroll in Irish Studies courses and to study abroad in Ireland and Northern Ireland. This year's Gala will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013, at 6:30 pm at the Houstonian Hotel. Our honorees are Clodagh and Rev. Harold Good, who have made substantial contributions to peace in Northern Ireland and around the world. Our Chairs are Laura and Rev. Charles Millikan and Janet and Randy Gilmore.

William J. Flynn Endowment
The Center welcomes gifts to this Endowment in recognition of the tireless efforts of Bill Flynn to bring people from all parties and walks of life to the table to listen, to create an environment for open dialogue and to achieve positive change in the lives of everyone in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
This Endowment ensures the quality and longevity of the Irish Studies academic and student engagement programs at the University, separate from the Center’s annual Friends of the Center Campaign, its annual Cultural Outreach Forum and Endowment campaign and funds raised for study abroad and Irish Studies scholarships.
