Michele Malloy, former chair of the UST board of directors, is the 2014 Annual Irish Gala honoree. The University of St. Thomas William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies will host The Annual Irish Gala at The Houstonian Hotel on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014.

This spectacular evening, chaired by Margo P. Geddie, Maureen Evans and Lisa Miranda, will honor Michele Malloy, who is the former chair of the UST board of directors, a member of the Flynn Center for Irish Studies Advisory Board and a well-known community volunteer. The Most Rev. Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, Archbishop of Galveston-Houston, will serve as honorary chair. All proceeds raised will benefit the William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies.

By supporting the Irish Gala, your contributions help fund:

  • Study abroad scholarships to Ireland and Northern Ireland for UST students
  • Cultural lectures, performances and events open to the public
  • Center for Irish Studies academic programs and endowments

The William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies at the University of St. Thomas in Houston is the only Irish Studies academic program in the Southwest.
