The Office of International Services and Study Abroad (OISSA) facilitates UST’s global engagement by supporting international students and scholars and coordinating study abroad programs. OISSA advises students and scholars on F and J types of visas regarding requirements to maintain their immigrations status, employment authorizations, and resources to help them achieve their educational, professional, and personal goals. OISSA provides academically and culturally enriching study abroad programs to enhance UST students’ global knowledge, cultural competencies, and personal growth.
UST has the privilege to enroll over 150 international students from more than 35 countries. UST students also have opportunities to participate in short-term (1-3 weeks) and long-term (1-2 semesters) in over 17 countries every year. As a designated BridgeUSA program sponsor by the U.S. Department of State, we not only host international students, but also international scholars and professors to participate in academic and cultural exchange activities at UST.
Being the center of UST’s global community, the Office of International Services and Study Abroad promotes cultural exchange, international friendship, and global learning. We support a community a UST Global Ambassadors that engages all UST students in such efforts and host series of events such as the International Education Week celebration in November every year.
