The Graduate Certificate in Faith and Culture program is rooted in the same course offerings as the Master of Arts in Faith and Culture degree program. If you don’t want to pursue an advanced degree in Faith and Culture, a certificate program may be the better option. It can be completed with half the credit hours and allows you to enrich your academic or professional career while earning a recognized credential.
How is the Graduate Certificate different from the Master of Arts in Faith and Culture?
The Graduate Certificate:
Options are available for transferring credits if you wish to enroll in the degree program before earning your certificate. You must demonstrate a minimum GPA of 3.25 to be eligible.

During March, April and May, the Nesti Center for Faith & Culture hosted daily conversations for people to share how the coronavirus affected their community. Conversations have included leaders with Houston Food Bank, Interfaith Ministries, SEARCH Homeless Ministries, local churches, University of Houston, University of St. Thomas, and members of Jewish and Muslim communities and more. This initiative has shifted to weekly conversations about what is currently happening in our American culture, especially with regard to racism, justice and the common good. Conversations dive into the intersection of faith and our American culture.

Fr. Donald S. Nesti, CSSp., is the founder of the Center for Faith and Culture.
He has been sharing his wisdom internationally through lectures, retreats, conferences and publications for more than 30 years.
The Key Documents Archive highlights some of Fr. Nesti’s seminal works. Start here for an introduction to his most important documents before going deeper in to the Main Archive.
The Main Archive of almost 200 documents reflects his insights on a variety of topics related to faith and spirituality in the American context, education, evangelization and the impact of Vatican II.
All of the documents are compiled on Google Drive. You do not need a Google account to access these files, but if you would like to use a search bar to filter documents, you need a Google account. However, even without a Google account, you can still use “Ctrl+F” to search the page for a keyword in the document title. Any direct citations of these materials, or reference to ideas from Fr. Nesti, must be properly cited to avoid plagiarism.
