What is UST's Student-to-Faculty Ratio?
UST offers a student-to-faculty ratio of 15:1. What this means is that students receive personal attention and mentoring from our faculty. Students are likely to engage in more hands-on learning experiences as well because of the small class sizes. This increases student connectedness with their peers and accessible faculty to help.
Is this the only Catholic University in Houston?
YES! We are Houston’s only Catholic university. We are rooted in values of the Basilian Fathers: goodness, discipline, knowledge, and community.
Since this is a private school, is there enough financial aid?
More than 98% of our students receive financial aid or scholarships, making a UST education accessible and affordable. We also boast $29 million in grants and scholarships awarded. Through generous donors and fiscal responsibility, we prioritize allowing everyone the opportunity to a Catholic liberal arts education.
How is the career placement for UST graduates?
Roughly 94% of UST graduates become fully employed within six months of graduation. This is due to many things including student excellence being recognized by local industries, countless opportunities for students to visit and connect with businesses and organizations throughout Houston, and students being formed to show initiative in their job search even before they graduate from UST.
