Things You Didn’t Know About UST
Get the inside scoop on all kinds of things that might surprise you about what it's like to attend college at UST.

Campus TourWe are excited for to join us for a  campus tours! For the safety of our visitors and campus community, we have implemented the following guidelines:

  • Tour times are limited to three prospective students and each prospective student may bring up to two guests.
  • Masks are no longer required for those that are fully vaccinated but are still highly encouraged for all guests.
  • Visitors must remain six feet apart from the tour guide and other visiting family at all times.

Appointments are required for prospective student visits, and we will only be able to accommodate walk-in visitors if space allows.

Nursing EventsUST's nursing school in Houston includes state of the art equipment like interactive high fidelity mannequins which can talk to you, bleed, have seizures, etc.

Nursing graduates from UST are always in-demand because of this hands-on experience in small classes and labs.

Incoming Freshmen

Incoming freshman are encouraged to attend Showcase Saturday. Information about the admissions process is available at the freshman nursing admissions page or contact your counselor.

Transfer Students

Information sessions are offered for students with college credit who are looking to apply directly to the nursing program. Additional sessions will be available here as dates are set.

 Showcase SaturdayAs you consider transferring to UST, we invite you to discover if UST Is the right fit for you. Admissions counselors will discuss topics such as the transfer admissions process, scholarships, financial aid, and campus life. You will also interact with students, faculty and staff from different areas of campus.

Prospective students transferring from a community college or any four-year institution are invited to join us for our virtual information session. During this session, we will discuss such topics as:

  • Academic Programs
  • Transfer Application Process
  • Scholarships

Members of our admissions team and Veteran Success Center will be online to answer your questions and provide feedback to help you on your academic journey to UST.

Note: This information session is not for transfer students interested in Nursing. Students interested in Nursing should RSVP for one of the Nursing Information Sessions.

Thinking about living on campus? Join us for a virtual information session to learn about Residence Life at UST! 

Our Director of Residence Life and Conference Housing, Ana Alicia Lopez, will discuss topics such as:

  • How to Apply for Housing
  • Completing the Housing Contract
  • Finding a Roommate
  • Floor Plans, Amenities, Meal Plans & Costs
  • Living Learning Communities
  • Housing Activities & Events

There will be a Q & A session after the information session – be sure to stick around to ask all of your housing questions!

Domestic Students

You will need the following:

  • Completed application
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher*
  • Minimum of 24 credit hours completed**
  • Official transcript

International Students

You will need the domestic student items, plus:

  • Official international college transcripts*
  • Course by course evaluation of college credits*
  • TOEFL (minimum 79), IELTS (minimum 6.5), ELS (level 112) or English Comp. 1 & 2 courses taken in U.S.
