New Student Orientation
Your transition into the University of St. Thomas begins at Orientation!
During New Student Orientation, you and your family get to know the St. Thomas campus community, our programs, other students and their families.
Most importantly, at Orientation, you become a Celt.
Freshman Orientation
During Freshman Orientation, you will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes as well learn about resources, make your first UST friends, and can also join clubs and organizations. We require you to attend this one day Orientation, but we will make your time on campus fun and engaging.
Fall 2024 students will register for one of the Orientation Sessions held over the course of the summer. Session dates will be released at a later date. All registrations for sessions will be completed through your admissions counselor.
In order to receive the RSVP link you must pay your enrollment deposit.
If you have any questions, please contact your admissions counselor or the Office of Admissions at 713-525-3500.
Transfer Student Registration & Orientation
Every student is required to meet with an advisor before enrolling in classes. Students will be assigned to a morning or afternoon appointment dependent on major. Appointments will last approximately 2.5 hours and during this time you will meet with your academic advisor and register for classes.
In order to receive the RSVP link you must pay your enrollment deposit and complete immunizations.
If you have any questions, please contact your admissions counselor or the Office of Admissions at 713-525-3500.
After the completion of registration, you will be REQUIRED to attend Transfer Orientation.
Orientation is a fantastic experience, where you will be able to meet your future classmates and obtain important information about the Celt experience! Learn about campus resources, pick up your student ID card, and completed mandatory sessions.

Family Orientation
Parents and Families - Welcome to the Celt Family! We are so excited to introduce you to the University of St. Thomas. We know the vital role you have played and will continue to play in your student’s life, and we are grateful for the opportunity to connect with you during your student’s time here.
Families have the option to attend one of our Family Orientation with their incoming student throughout the summer. During Family Orientation, you will learn about the resources available to your student outside of the classroom to help them reach graduation. Not only is our goal to help your student succeed, we also want you to be a key figure in this success.
This journey continues at the Family Welcome! At this social event, you will be able to connect with other parents, as well as faculty and staff who are here to help your student succeed. Additionally, we will have current students and alumni there to give you a taste of what the Celt Experience is all about.
Date and Time TBD
Through communication such as our Parent & Family Newsletter, we hope to welcome you into our Family and give you and your student tools to succeed. If you are interested in receiving the newsletter, please sign up below.
