Yung-chun Hsiao received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Literature from National Taiwan University, and Master of Arts in East Asian Studies from the University California, Santa Barbara. Her areas of research include Taiwanese Literature, Chinese Literature and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign/ Second Language. Before coming to UST, she taught Chinese at the University California, Santa Barbara. In addition to language teaching, Ms. Hsiao is also particularly interested in Translation studies and she is the Chinese translator of the book entitled The Force of Nonviolence: An Ethico-Political Bind by Judith Butler.
