Our Purpose

What is Title IX?

Title IX is a federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs and activities that receive federal funding. This includes:

  • Sexual harassment and sexual assault
  • Dating and domestic violence
  • Stalking
  • Gender-based discrimination or harassment
  • Discrimination related to pregnancy or parenting

The Title IX Office provides supportive measures to help individuals maintain equal access to education and university activities. These are available regardless of whether a formal complaint is filed and may include:

Yes. Anonymous reports are accepted, though including your contact information allows the university to provide direct support.
