The related Liberal Arts and General Studies majors provide an opportunity for a student to develop a different range of courses from that allowed by a single, double or joint major program. The Liberal Arts major allows a student to select two areas of concentration within the School of Arts and Sciences and design a program that reflects the interests and fits the needs of the individual student. The General Studies major allows the student to design a program, which includes professional courses from within the Cameron School of Business or the School of Education. Both majors emphasize an interdisciplinary, flexible approach to degree completion. They are particularly useful to students who prefer a program with maximum possibility for electives, for transfer and other students seeking to complete their degree within an efficient timeframe, and for students whose work and family demands limit available class times or other curricular requirements.
