|MHA & MBA Joint Degree Program|
By special agreement, students in the Master in Healthcare Administration program at Texas Woman’s University are provided an opportunity to earn a Master of Business Administration degree at the University of St. Thomas. Students obtain both a fundamental set of health services management skills through the MHA at Texas Woman’s University and specialized training provided by the MBA program at the Cameron School of Business.
Students must meet the admission requirements of both programs to gain admission to each. Students first complete the MHA program at TWU and then complete UST's MBA program. Students must contact the graduate admissions advisor at TWU in order to determine specific course requirements needed to complete the TWU-HCA courses that will qualify for waiver of required MBA courses.
Upon satisfactory completion of the MHA curriculum at TWU and the MBA program at UST, students will be awarded the appropriate degree from each university.
Students are required to complete 24 credit hours at UST as part of this joint program. Proficiency courses are available for students with non-business degrees. These courses are designed to ease the transition to business core classes for students who do not hold undergraduate business degrees.
