This 100% online program is designed for students who desire to learn the fundamentals of general business, entrepreneurship, and those who seek additional certifications for immediate employment and career upskilling. Students can earn their associate degree within 2 years, and will gain knowledge and skills in critical thinking, communication, information literacy, and professional responsibilities with a unique focus on leadership skills and ethics.

UST also offers an online Certificate in Social Media Marketing for those looking to enhance their knowledge and skills of running successful social media campaigns for businesses and organizations. This six-course program is online and may be completed in two Summer mini sessions.

This is a 60-hour program, with each course representing 3 credit hours. Dual credit opportunities are available for Cybersecurity, Drug and Alcohol Counseling, General Business and Networking Technology.

Certificate in Social Media Marketing

social_interaction_500x330Social media marketing jobs are in demand.  And while many are social media savvy, there’s a lot to learn about how to successfully run social media marketing campaigns for businesses and organizations.

The Certificate in Social Media Marketing program at the University of St. Thomas’ Kolbe School of Innovation and Professional Studies is now accepting applications. This program includes six courses offered in an online asynchronous format and can be completed in as little as two compressed track sessions.

Students will learn about the components of a social media marketing campaign, the types of applications and content used for social media marketing, and how to audit and plan successful campaigns.  It will also provide students with practical experience and the certification necessary to serve as a social media specialist within an organization.

In addition, the certificate course provides students with 18 credit hours in General Business. These courses can be used towards the completion of an Associate of Applied Science in General Business, and credits can be transferred to a four-year degree, if desired.
