The University of St. Thomas does not accept the Hazlewood Act, but we do accept the major GI Bills®. You can use any of the following GI Bills® to complete your undergraduate degree, complete your graduate degree or pursue a graduate degree for the first time:

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government Web site at benefits.va.gov/gibill. As a private, catholic university, the University of St. Thomas may not accept the Texas Hazlewood Act as this exemption is reserved for Texas public colleges and universities only.

Yellow Ribbon Program

The VA has a cap on the amount of money they can pay per student, per academic year.

However, if you have a Post-9/11 GI Bill® that pays 100% of your tuition costs, the Yellow Ribbon Program permits the University and the VA to provide matching funds to cover any costs that exceed the VA cap so you have no out-of-pocket costs.
