Where to Check In?
All on-campus residents must check in at Guinan Residence Hall located at 1303 Sul Ross Street.
These forms must be completed and submitted to the Office of Residence Life prior to the move-in date to prevent a delay in checking in.
- Resident Information Form (Package Delivery, Medical, and Emergency Evacuation)
- Student Permit Application
We ask that all residents and families initially park in the Moran Center (corner of Graustark and West Alabama) for check-in. Parking is free on move-in day. Once the resident is checked in, they will be issued a parking pass for unloading only.
In order to accommodate everyone, each resident will be allowed 15 minutes in the unloading zone around Guinan Hall.
Students not living in Guinan Hall will be able to unload via street side parking at their building
Your UST ID will serve as the key to your room in Guinan Hall. Please have your ID card with you when you check in. Information on obtaining an ID card can be found here.
Residents not living in Guinan will be issued a set of hard keys at check-in. Additionally your ID card will give you access to the front doors of Guinan Hall, so you can use the lobby and computer lab.
A limited number of moving carts will be available to check out at the front desk. You will need to leave a UST ID or state ID with the front desk when checking out a moving cart. We encourage you to bring your own dolly if you prefer not to wait.
In order to make move-in day easier, our visitation standards will be waived until 5 p.m. on move in day. After 5 p.m., our visitation standards will return to normal, and any visitors will need to sign in with a picture ID at the front desk.
|Mandatory Hall Meetings|
Within the week of move in all residents are required to attend the mandatory hall meeting. This meeting is a time for residents to get to know roommates, neighbors and hall staff as we begin to understand together what it means to live in a successful community. Only residents are allowed to attend the meetings, and no guests can be in the building during the mandatory meeting times.
Late check-ins must notify the Office of Residence Life in writing within 24 hours of check-in time. Please note that late check-ins will take longer due to limited staff availability and may be subject to a late check-in fee.
