The University of St. Thomas features a number of student clubs and organizations that promote research, community service, and leadership skills among its members. Student clubs are registered with the Office of Student Activities through one of its chartering organizations. The following are undergraduate clubs chartered with the Council of Clubs.
International Studies Society seeks to promote and celebrate different cultures through multicultural explorations, as well as to explore the career opportunities available in diplomatic and governmental service. ISS also hosts the annual International Festival.
The Filipino Student Association provides the University of St. Thomas student body and Houston community with an organization that celebrates diversity through the education about and sharing of the Filipino culture. FSA promotes its mission statement with cultural dance performances, social gatherings, tradition showcases, as well as attending camaraderie events in relevance to Filipino culture. FSA promotes the Filipino way of service through the adoption of a philanthropic effort and dedication to service.
The League of United Latin American Citizens advances the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health and civil rights of Hispanic Americans through community-based programs.
The purpose of the Spanish Club is to provide educational opportunities outside of the classroom for those interested in the Spanish language and culture. Spanish Clubs also provides the opportunity to meet with other UST students and faculty interested in speaking Spanish as well as international students.
The American Chemical Society is an organization designed to help chemistry majors and minors explore the chemistry field and careers in the field by providing various resources. The resources includes, but are not limited to, help in connecting members to research professors, career fairs, speaker talks, outreach programs to promote interest in STEM carrers in young children, tutoring assistance in classes, and more.
American Student Dental Association Pre-Dental Chapter at the University of St. Thomas is a student-led organization aiming to educate pre-dental students about the profession of dentistry and provide resources to support those interested in pursuing dentistry. Furthermore, the ASDA Pre-Dental Chapter aims to create leaders in the community through public service.

Beta Beta Beta (Tri-Beta) National Biological Honor Society is an honor society for students, particularly undergraduates, dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research.
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is dedicated to helping people worldwide where the need is greatest, delivering emergency medical aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from health care.
Pre-Health Professions Society provides guidance for students interested in pre-health professional careers; provide information about other professions in the healthcare field; provide volunteering and shadowing opportunities.

The purpose of the University of St. Thomas National Student Nurses Association is to guide students in their journey to becoming holistic nurses by providing various healthcare related volunteer opportunities and resources that will allow them to give back to both the University and to the global community.
The principle purpose of the UST Debate Club (USTDC) is to develop the student body by improving its members in the areas of public speaking, analytical argumentation, and evidence based case writing and research. The USTDC is open to all styles of debate, and create understanding among its members through such debate.
