Student Household Association (SHA)

Households are single-sex organizations at the University of St. Thomas which seek to help their members grow in Faith and Community, by living and studying in common according to a Household Covenant.

Key Components of Household Life include

  • Shared living space on-campus
  • Frequent Community meals
  • Weekly meetings
  • Active Community Spiritual life and Prayer
  • Fun Activities with Household members
  • Distinctive Customs and Traditions

For the 2018-2019 School Year we will have Six Households

  • VD - Viri Dei
  • AK - Aquinas Knights
  • SIW - Simply Irresistible Women
  • F&F - Faith and Friends
  • CH - Courageous Hearts
  • SISN - Simply Irresistible Student Nurses

All households are part of the Student Household Association (SHA). The SHA provides an overall governing and advising council to the Household System, as well as providing resources and programs to aid in the SHA’s mission. 

Typical SHA events throughout the year include: an annual Open House and Block Party, the Household Olympics, dances, off-campus outings, Household specific retreats, and much more.
