Dr. John Hittinger, professor of philosophy at the University of St. Thomas, received a letter signed by Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican secretary of state, naming him an ordinary member of the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas in May.

The Aquinas Center for Theological Renewal awarded Dr. Thomas M. Osborne Jr. the Charles Cardinal Journet Prize for his book “Human Action in Thomas Aquinas, John Duns Scotus, and William of Ockham.” Osborne is the associate professor of philosophy and director of the Center for Thomistic Studies at the University of St. Thomas.
