“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst”
Matthew 18:20
You are invited to become a member of the UST Prayer Guild. The commitment involves agreeing to pray daily for UST’s intentions. To join, click the button below and fill out the form. The Campus Ministry team will send out the monthly intentions, but you can always check this site for updates. During each month, UST Prayer Guild Members are also asked to spend an hour in Adoration and offer a Rosary for UST’s intentions.
The UST Prayer Guild is a spiritual initiative rooted in the Catholic tradition of intercessory prayer, open to all members of the University of St. Thomas community: faculty, staff, students, alumni and benefactors. Each month, we unite in prayer for the intentions that shape our University’s mission, deepen our communal bonds and invite the Holy Spirit to guide our work.
Whether you are a seasoned intercessor or newly drawn to the practice of prayer, this Guild offers a space to lift up our University’s needs, celebrate its blessings and cultivate a culture of spiritual attentiveness.
Throughout the week, each celebration of the Holy Mass will include the intentions designated for the month. Each day will be dedicated to a specific intention, and in addition to our liturgical celebration, we warmly invite all members of the community, whether individually or in groups, to unite in prayer for that day’s intention.

Featured Prayer: “Prayer for the University” and “Prayer of St. Basil”
O God of Wisdom and Light, bless University of St. Thomas, that it may be a place of truth, charity and transformation. Strengthen all who teach, learn and serve here. May our studies be guided by Your Spirit, our decisions shaped by Your justice and our community rooted in Your love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for the Intercession of St. Basil
St. Basil, teacher and intercessor, you inspired others to follow you into a life of holiness. Your love for education made you known and respected even among those who did not believe. Help us to live and work according to the teachings of the Gospel, detachment from the world that we may seek the things of heaven, and perfect love of God and our neighbors. Amen.
University of St. Thomas: This month, we highlight the Campus Ministry team for their tireless work in organizing retreats, liturgies and spiritual formation. May their efforts continue to bear fruit in the lives of our students.
Worldwide: Pope Leo XIV invited Catholics worldwide to pray the rosary daily during October for peace, emphasizing its importance during the month traditionally dedicated to the Rosary.
Closing Reflection
“Prayer is the breath of the soul.” As we breathe together in prayer, may our University become ever more a place of grace, discernment and communion.
